They want to hear from you if you are currently taking part in the project, and would like to have a role in overseeing and advising Genomics England.
Panel members represent people who are on the project because of their own condition, or that of a close family member. They are expected to be able to see the bigger picture, informed by their own experiences, and to offer constructive advice to the project team.
The Panel meets three or four times a year in London. Expenses are paid (including child care if necessary to enable you to attend). Panel members also have opportunities to get involved in the work of specialist groups within Genomics England, for example its Ethics Advisory Committee and its Access Review Committee (which scrutinises all the research bids before the scientists are allowed access to our genomic data). They are also looking to do some work this year around the needs of children and young people participating in this project.
The next Panel meeting will be in London on Monday 20 March.
