Undiagnosed Children’s Day has once again proven to be a massive success. Krista joined SWAN UK when Isie was 6 months old. They were looking for support at the time and were feeling very isolated despite great support from friends and family. A simple google search found SWAN UK and they found their lives had changed; they found a community of families just like them!
On the 29th April 2016 Kristas’ son Luca and his two friends Harry and James decided to organise a charity football tournament to raise money for SWAN UK. At just 7 years old they raised an amazing £160. With a little help they booked a venue, borrowed equipment from their school, pestered all their friends to attend and sorted the teams.
It was a lovely afternoon, the sun came out and the rain held off! The atmosphere was brilliant, there were 4 teams of 5 players, the blue team came out tops! Even the Dads got a run out on pitch in the Dads VLads game..The lads won! Isie and Luca really enjoyed the afternoon as did all the players and spectators.
“I had lots of fun playing football with all my friends. I am really happy that we raised £160 for swan uk to help other children”
– James Swanson
So here’s a big well done to Luca, James, Harry and everyone else that took part.
