Hi I’m Aimee and I live in Warwickshire with my husband Ollie and our three children, Freddie our swan who is seven, Bella, five, and Jago, three, plus our Jack Russell, Teddington.
A lovely sunny and fun-filled day was had by so many SWAN UK families at Hatton Country Park. More than 100 of us descended on the park and there was a sea of pink and blue SWAN UK balloons wherever you looked.
I met some new families which was such a pleasure and got to catch up with lots of lovely old friends – friends who I chat to in the SWAN UK Facebook group regularly but wonderfully get the chance to see face-to-face at these fabulous events.
There was giant bowling, birds of prey, small animal petting, donkey feeding and lots of rides to go on. The inflatable slide was a hit. The park is really accessible and has something for everyone. Plus, we had a dedicated space to meet up at lunch time for our picnics.
The highlight of my day, besides hearing my swan Freddie and Bella and Jago laughing of course, was the sheep racing. What a funny sight.
Thank you SWAN UK for enabling families like mine to experience an incredibly enjoyable family day out and the opportunity to meet others in a similar situation. Seeing that you are not alone is so important.
